✓Speech Therapy
It helps children with speech and communication disorders.
The main aim of our classes is to: - form correct speech patterns by taking into considerations its best development in terms of phonetics, grammar. - Improve speech already developed - eliminate speech problems - teach how to speak (speaking and understanding) - eliminate of vocal disorders - eliminate reading and writing difficulties. Meetings are scheduled by our speech therapists and their frequency depends on children’s need. ✓Pedagogical therapy
It is a form of classes conducted by our specialist for children with mental deficiency. These classes aim at: - learning how to communicate with others - developing physical fitness - forming a sense of direction - enabling to achieve optimal independence in basic forms of everyday life - developing an interest in environment - learning how to be a part of the society We would like our children to achieve the maximum of their physical potential in accordance with their individual abilities. This is our priority when scheduling lessons and their frequency. Our classes are in a form of individual or group meetings. Our specialists use different methods of teaching and working with disabled children, e.g. Veronica Sherbone Developmental Movement or Art therapy. ✓Individual rehabilitation
Rehabilitation it is the process of restoration of skills by a person who has had an illness or injury so as to regain maximum self-sufficiency and function in a normal or as near normal manner as possible. The main aim of rehabilitation is to bring all disabled children back to normal life as much as possible. This is done through encouraging children to undertake fitness activities by: - Controlling a posture and physical motion - Coordination in terms of hearing, feeling and body movements - Being comfortable in own body - Orientation in time and place Our lessons also include: Kinesitherapy - the treatment by means of passive and active movements, such as massage and exercise Physiotherapy (using different sources of energy coming from various equipment) Massage Swimming pool of balls Trampoline ✓Hippotherapy
It is a form of physical and speech therapy in which our specialist uses the movements of horse to improving fitness and physical strength of a patient. It is a unique and special method of therapy using horse as one of “therapists”. Hippotherapy involves: - Developing the correct walking posture - Standardisation of muscles tense, preventing from muscle cramps and physical limitations of joints - Correcting body posture - Improving body balance - Improving physical and visual co-ordination - Decreasing neurological excitability - Overcome fear and resistance by a contact with the people and surrounding environment - Improvement in social behaviour. The most important benefit is the fact that the child is experiencing a lot of joy and fun from horse riding and does not perceive it as a therapy. The effort put in to these lessons leads to better therapeutical results and at the same time it eliminates children’s negative approach associated with any kind of a therapy. ✓Hydrotherapy
The rehabilitation by using chemical and physical qualities of water enables to increase the effectiveness of the therapy. Our classes are: - Fun helping to relax both physically and psychologically - Exercise for muscles and joints - Improving the rehabilitation process benefiting joints movements - Influencing the pace and quality of mental and physical growth Our classes are run at “Delfin” Swimming Complex in Wadowice by experienced swimming instructors. It is fully equipped in devices facilitating the usage for disabled people. Additionally, children using the facilities are required to provide doctor’s certificate enabling them to attend activities ✓Consultations with psychologist
Psychological consultations are the form of psychological support through individual meetings with an experienced specialist. They are designed for children with low mental efficiency and their main aim is: - To identify physical abilities and educational needs of disabled children - To observe overall functionality of our children - To organise and complete development and therapeutical plan for individual patients - Conducting various therapeutical activities - Promoting new forms of work - Providing help to children who require specific education needs during group activities The basic requirement to start a therapy is a certificate from the psychological clinic. ✓Sensory Integration Therapy
It is a process during which the children’s neurological system receives information from senses and then it organizes it and translates it in such a way that it is used in effective performance. This therapy is aimed at children, who: - Have problems with sensorial processing - Avoid or look for sensation - Have poor physical abilities SI Therapy involves stimulating neurological system in order to improve its work, i.e. correct receipt, transformation and response of senses sent from the environment and own body. Our classes are run in a specially equipped room by experienced and qualified instructors. ✓Computer Response Therapy
This type of therapy uses computer (PC) equipped with a special keyboard and educational multimedia programs adapted especially to disabled children’s needs.
This involves: - Developing physical and perception skills: exercising using mouse in different educational programs and games - Developing visual and auditory abilities, correct speech, reading, co-ordination of voice disorders - Developing intellectual abilities: learning about the environment, helping to develop various talents, elimination of growth disorders, supporting learning - process by using different educational programs - Psychotherapeutic effect- practicing concentration, encouraging learning and developing the knowledge, developing correct postures and overcoming the learning difficulties Thanks to educational programs children gain knowledge about the world around them and everyday life. They learn the basics of phonetics and maths. ✓Rhytmics
Rhytmics help children expressing themselves via music and dance It allows to: - Develop an ear for music and rhythm - Improve physical coordination - Develop creativity - Develop children’s reaction to music - Master discipline and improve team work Rhytmics allows overcoming various difficulties in terms of personal development of children which are shown by lack of concentration and excess activity. ✓Experiences of "The World Room"
This therapy is designed for children with development disabilities and involves exposing them to soothing and relaxing environment, the “snoezelen room”.
Methods used allow sensorial activities among disabled children, who through new processes are starting the learning process from very beginning, in their own pace.
MSE stimulates following senses: - Visual - Auditory - Feeling: touching objects of different shape and texture - Smelling: experiencing different fragrances - Balance |
